About me

Growing up in Sicily, I was surrounded by music. From classical to contemporary, my parents loved all genres, igniting an early love and passion for music in me. As a shy child, music was a way for me to express myself and connect with the world around me. I found my voice early on and began taking part in singing competitions all over Italy from the age of 16.

In 2004, I attended the Accademia Musicale in Piacenza, Italy, where I explored various genres, styles and techniques. In my time at the school, I regularly took part in theatre and festival performances, and was awarded best soloist singer at the Concours international de Jeunes Interpretes in 2005. My style is distinctive and adaptable. My love of travel and culture has helped shape my flexible approach to music, allowing me to explore a multitude of genres and discover new techniques along the way.

I completed a singing training course at Tech Music School in London in 2008, further developing style and technique. My time in London sparked a new love for different genres, including soul and funk, classical jazz, and more contemporary styles.

In 2009, I moved to Dublin where I trained with acclaimed Irish artist Edel Meade, who introduced me to jazz, blues and bossa nova styles. During this time, I performed alongside renowned musicians at international music festivals, including the Sligo Jazz Project and Cork Jazz Festival, Ireland, and the Umbria Jazz Festival, Italy. I graduated with a BA degree in jazz and contemporary music from Dublin City University in 2018, and in 2020, was awarded the Estill Figure Proficiency certificate from Estill Voice Training.
